5 largest cruisers in the world

While we are waiting for the next summer season, warm days and sun, we all dream a little, literally and figuratively, of going on a cruise. Destinations are mostly exotic – the Caribbean Sea, the Mediterranean, Alaska, China, and the like.

Cruisers have multiplied over the last few decades and have also become imposing vessels. Today’s largest ships are almost three times in size of the first modern cruiser “Sovereign of the Seas” built in 1988. We present to you the 5 largest cruisers in the world that cover these destinations.

  1. Symphony of the Seas (Royal Caribbean International)

One of the successor of the first modern cruiser, today is the largest tourist ship in the world. This ship weighs almost 228 tons, is 362 meters long and 47 meters high. It was built in 2018 and can provide an unforgettable trip across the Caribbean Sea for 5,400 passengers.

It is considered a top family vacation destination. There is plenty of content on board for all ages – laser tag, aqua park with the highest slide in the world – aptly named Ultimate Abyss because it is over 30 meters high, music, sports and fine dining. For one who would like to try surfing, the FlowRider simulator is available.

  1. Harmony of the Seas (Royal Caribbean International)

The second largest cruiser from 2016 also came from the same company. The dimensions and volume do not differ from its successor, but this giant goes all the way to the Mediterranean.

Like other vessels of this company, Harmony offers a diverse program for all generations – spa, fitness, deck walks with the appropriate program, a simulation of New York’s Central Park and much more.

  1. Mardi Gras (Carnival Cruise Line)

Mardi Gras went on a trip for the first time in 2021. It can accommodate 5,200 passengers. It is equipped with the latest technology to fight the pandemic that has befallen the world.

Sail around the Bahamas, along the coast of Mexico and experience the Caribbean in the best possible way. In the meantime, take a ride on the first roller coaster, which is literally at sea, or take part in the “Family Feud” quiz. Spa, bars and aqua park, as well as a fitness and yoga studios are standard for this type of travel, but they have a new dimension when you are actually immersed in the open sea.

  1. Iona (P&O Cruises)

Northern Europe and the Canary Islands are best experienced when you are on the cruiser. Iona can accommodate 5,200 people. If Mexico and the East Coast seem too far away, and yet they want something different from a simple city tour, then cruising along the Canary Islands is the perfect choice.

A unique experience will leave you breathless, just don’t forget to bring sunscreen. In case you forgot, the shopping center on this boat is there to provide you with what you need.

  1. The spectrum of the sea (Royal Caribbean International)

Another giant of Royal Caribbean International company sails the coast of China and Southeast Asia. Far East is an adventure in itself, but when complemented by a multi-day cruise, it becomes an unforgettable experience.

Feel your adrenaline level jump on the Sky Pad®, a bungee trampoline, complemented by an extra virtual reality experience. Luxury accommodation and other amenities are just an addition to the already amazing journey you are on. And if you travel as a family, this boat offers special apartments that have a slide, cinema, karaoke stage, in addition to providing comfort that you do not expect while sailing the seas.
